Ryo Minemizu Profile

Born in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture. After working as a diving guide at Osezaki in Nishiizu, he became a freelance photographer in 1997. He won the Grand Prize at the 5th Nikkei National Geographic Photo Award. He has published many books, including the photo collection "Jewels in the Night Sea - Mysterious Plankton." He has appeared on shows such as "Crazy Journey," "World Wide View TV Special Investigation Unit," and "Sekai no Hate Made Itte Q," and also shoots nature programs himself. He hosts Black Water Dive®, an event both in Japan and overseas where you can observe a variety of planktonic organisms in the field.
